Sunday Social

Hey Guys! I'm linking up this Sunday with Neely at acompletewasteofmakeup for her Sunday Social.
1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
I would LOVE to go sky diving. That would be such an amazing experience.
And not for the "rush" of it but more for the out of body experience of it
and the bragging rights. ;p
2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Pregnant? I see Zachary and I starting a family in five years and hopefully being out of debt.
3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
I am looking forward to Fall and Christmas in Qingdao. I feel an excitement this year about the holidays. Maybe because I finally feel like we have a home overseas. We feel at home with the people here and in our apartment. I'm excited to host parties and to bake!
And for taking pictures of snow on the beach!
But of course Thanksgiving and Christmas would be a million times better if it was actually at home with our family. :) We miss the holidays with family and big dinners around the table.
4. What are your hopes for your blog?
Honestly, I hope our blog grows. And I am trying to sort out the vanity vs. the goodness in that. I spent a lot of my non Christian life in the spotlight, so when I became a Christian, I sort of with drew from being center stage. So, I get confused sometimes about what is my pride and what is good, God-given desires.
The Lord affirmed me and answered some of my questions the other day, though. I feel like He reminded me that it's okay to have something where I can creatively express myself, and reflect some of the qualities and gifts, He's given me.
Best part about blogging, I love it.
I am growing more and more fond of it each day and it's become a place of rest for me.
5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?
Considering we live in China, now, I can't say yes. You never know what the future holds. We will keep following the Lord where He leads. We hope you one day have a home in Austin or somewhere in the States. But we are also loving living overseas.
6. What is your morning routine
I am not a morning person, so mornings are really hard for me. I am always  hoping that one day I suddenly wake up, changed, and become a person that sings in the morning and doesn't hit the snooze button 5 times but it hasn't happened yet.

Wake up at 5:00-6.
(Depending on how many times I hit snooze.)
Go running.
Shower.
Make up while my hair dries.
Get dressed.
Make and eat breakfast.
Spend time with the Lord.
Out the door at 7:45.

Ideally, if I didn't have a job:
Wake up at 6.
(okay lets be real, with no job, 10 or 11. Maybe 12)
Work out for an hour to hour and a half.
Shower.
Have coffee and breakfast while spending time with the Lord for an hour or two.
Slowly and leisurely get ready for the day.
What about you guys?
What is something you have always wanted to but were too afraid to do it?
I would love to read your answers!

Hi from Sunday Social!!

I know what you mean about still wishing you were the center of attention deep down. That's how I was in High School and then after, I feel like that part of me is missing. I guess that's why my biggest dream is to become an actress as silly as that sounds!! I'm pretty sure your blog is going to grow! I can tell just by this that your a good writer and people are going to love what you say.

Happy Sunday!!

xoxo Heather
