We told our friend, Christine, we wanted to have a party but needed people to invite. Christine is THE connecter. She has been gifted with meeting people and connecting them with others, that is for sure!
Christine told us she would invite some friends for us! We were super excited but also a little nervous, since we had no idea who was coming to our house.
We thought everyone would come over around 6:30. So we got everything ready to go! And then waited. And waited. And waited. We got a little bored waiting and used our energy/excitement taking pictures!
Getting things ready in the kitchen.
The house is ready!
Red, white, and blue.
Our one and only guest, Josh Lee. He signed backwards. We had everyone sign our board at the party.
Our picture boards.
Playing around, taking pictures, as we wait for our guests!
Trying to get the flash just right!
Red, White and blue!
Blue toes!
Finally! People calling to find out how to get to our apartment!
Finally around 7:30 friends started to arrive! Yaaa!!!!
We had such a great time! It was great meeting couples!
Victoria and Glenn. Victoria is from China and Glenn is from South Africa. They have a little baby boy.
Michael and Lilly. Michael is an Italian-American and one of our co-workers. His wife, Lilly, is Chinese. They have been together 12 years.
Picture with Christine.
All the girls. Lilly, Sherry, Christine, me and Victoria.
The guys were all taking pictures of us, like paparazzi.
Joshua. He often sports American flag shirts.
Beautiful Sherry.
Karaoke! Our DVD player came with two microphones! We were pretty excited about that!
Chara was excited to come out after everyone left.
We ate all the food, sang karaoke and played the 50 states game!
We even sang Happy Birthday to America. haha.
It was a great 4th of July but we definitely missed our family and friends in the States and American fireworks!
Hope you all had a great 4th of July!
Oh and also! Some of you might remember, this Fourth of July was our 4 engagement anniversary! Whoop. :)

Wonderful pictures! You two look great and your home is beautiful. Love the picture boards...well, I loved all, even the blue toes! so thankful that you are building relationships with others and will have friends and be able to use one of your gifts...the gift of hospitality. Love you both so much. Thanks for sharing. Grandma Carolyn
